Dining in Ilha Grande

Vila do Abraão · Ilha Grande
Food born from the sea
At Lady Roots, dining isn't just a meal — it's part of the island experience. Fresh ingredients, caiçara recipes, and the energy of Abraão in every dish.
Our philosophy
From pier to plate, no shortcuts
Ilha Grande has the privilege of receiving incredibly fresh fish, shrimp and seafood every day — and we make the most of it. Our kitchen is inspired by the caiçara tradition of the Rio de Janeiro coast, where fish goes straight from boat to pan, coconut is freshly harvested and herbs come from the backyard.
We have two spaces with distinct personalities: the Lady Roots Restaurant for complete gastronomic experiences with seafood and caiçara cuisine, and the Bistro & Café to start the day energized before tours. Both with views of life in Abraão.
